Pious can mean dedicated, devout or saintly - Dedicated Charity. Nightingales have come to symbolize charity, possibly due to the ever famous 'Florence Nightingale' the celebrated founder of modern nursing. This pendant was handcrafted from a German wax seal dating to the early 1840’s.

I gave the Nightingale pendant to a nurse that has helped us. It was my favorite gift to give this holiday, esp to a 2020 nurse. It was beautiful and I think the quality, unique chain adds to the overall beauty of the piece. Mailed to the US but it came in good time. 5 stars for sure.
