Handcrafted using the impression of an early 19th century British wax seal. This pendant features a dog with the motto ‘First to welcome, foremost to defend’ from Lord Byron’s poem written in 1808 to his beloved dog Boatswain.

In the interests of full-disclosure, I ordered this for a friend and I had it shipped directly to her, so I haven't seen it in person. She, however, was beyond delighted. I absolutely love my new "True Friend" dog necklace :) I paired it with the pyrite and coin pearl gemstone add ons and it is stunning! It pairs perfectly with the antiqued rolo chain. Shipped on time. It's very pretty and I adore the seal. The chain is very high quality. The only thing I did not expect is that the piece is quite small. It looks beautiful and dainty but it's too small to make out the words. Not bad at all, just not expected from the pics.
